Ingredients

Start with 1/2 cup Old fashioned Oatmeal, 1/2 C milk, and add whatever nuts, fruit, spice you like.

Tips

I have an assembly line of oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, nuts, raisins, crasins, and a pinch of salt. When blueberries are in season, I love to add those after it's cooked. SO much better than instant oatmeal!

Directions

Cook on very low power for about 3 minutes, watching the whole time. Despite the size of the bowl, it will boil over if you don't catch it. It's worth it!

I make 5 servings of the dry ingredients in seperate plastic food storage bowls. Then I can toss one in a large mug with a tight seal before work each day, add the milk as I walk out the door, and heat it up when I'm ready for breakfast at work.
