Introduction

Ingredients

    3 Tins Unico Diced Tomatoes ( 796 ml tin/ 28 fl oz) well drained and rinsed
    2 tins Dark red kidney Beans ( 540 ml /19 fl oz)
    well drained and rinsed
    2 tins Black beans ( 19 fl oz/540 ml)- well drained and rinsed
    1 tin white kidney beans ( 540 ml / 19 fl oz) drained and rinsed
    300g chopped onions ( 2 large)
    1 cup Bulgur ( dry) or 160g dry
    1 Large Yellow Bell Pepper chopped
    1 cup Red Bell Pepper Chopped
    1 cup water
    4 Tbsp Chilli powder
    2 tbsp Becel light margarine
    1 tsp minced garlic or 2 tsp fresh garlic
    1 tsp Oregano
    1 tsp Black Pepper
    2 tsp granulated sugar





Directions

Prepare all chopped ingredients. Saute Onin, garlic , and chopped peppers in Large pot using the Becel Margarine. Once nicley browned, add spices, cook for 1 min, then add all the tins and the water, bring to the boil for 20 min, then add Bulgur and sugar and cook another 20 min. Add Black pepper at the end.

Serve Immediatley , leftovers can be frozen.
1 cup per serving!

Optional Suggested meal :
Tacos, sour cream ( fat free) and sliced green onions asn shredded light Cheddar cheese.

    I had this last night. didn't have bulgur so I added brown rice. This was really good. My son didn't even try it....but my youngest 6yrs loved it and had a big bowl. She loved it with sour cream and cheese. We will make this again. - 2/3/10

    Oh my goodness gracious!!!!! This was SO good. I had to make a couple of adjustments
    (didn't have bulgur so I didn't use any replacement). I also added a pound of hamburger (per my hubby's request).
