Ingredients

    1 16 OZ CAN PUMPKIN
    12 OZ LOW FAT EVAPORATED MILK
    1 WHOLE EGG
    1 EGG WHITE
    3/4 CUP SUGAR
    1 TSP CINNAMON
    1/2 TSP NUTMEG
    1/2 TSP GROUND CLOVES
    1/2 TSP SALT
    SINGLE PILLSBURY PIE CRUST

Tips

I LIGHTENED THIS TRADITIONAL PIE SLIGHTLY BY ELIMINATING ONE EGG YOLK.


Directions

MIX ALL INGREDIENTS TOGETHER AND POUR INTO UNBAKED PIE CRUST. BAKE AT 425 DEGREES FOR 15 MINUTES. REDUCE HEAT TO 350 AND BAKE FOR 40 TO 50 MINUTES MORE.

  • Sorry not going to try it because I don't consider it "Traditional" because it uses canned pumpkin I'm looking for a pumpkin pie recipe that uses real pumpkin not something that comes from a can - 11/27/13
