Introduction

This is one of my favorite lasagna recipes This is one of my favorite lasagna recipes
Number of Servings: 15

Ingredients

    1 lb Jimmy Dean Italian Sausage
    2.5 cups parts skim shredded mozz
    1 box oven ready lasagna noodles
    1 can pasta sauce
    16 ricotta cheese, part skim
    1 large egg

Tips

serve with a side salad and thin sliced french bread.


Directions

Brown sausage, then combine sausage and ricotta in a large bowl. Place 1/2 cup mozz cheese, egg, and 1/2 cup sauce and stir. The will be your 'filling'

In a lasagna pan, or a 13x9 casserole dish place 1/4 cup sauce and spread around the bottom of pan. Then place 1 layer of noodle, slightly over lapping the edges. Then place 1/2 the filling on top of the noodles, and distribute evenly. Then place 1/2C mozz cheese on top, then do another layer of noodles, with 1/2c pasta sauce spread on top, then another layer of filling and cheese. Then you next layer of noodles will be the top of your lasagna. Pour remaining sauce on top, sprinkle on remaining cheese, and then sprinkle on a little dried basil or italian seasoning.

Cover and bake at 375 for 45 minutes, uncover and bake another 10, then remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Serving Size: make 20 square servings
