Introduction

This raw oatmeal is really good, and looks very festive. Its perfect for a chilly morning. This raw oatmeal is really good, and looks very festive. Its perfect for a chilly morning.
Number of Servings: 3

Ingredients

    1 1/3 cups of oat groats or steel cut oats, soaked 12 hours or overnight, rinsed and drained well
    3 bananas
    1 teaspoon of cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
    a pinch of salt
    1/2 cup of almond milk plus a little
    1/3 cup of chopped walnuts
    maple syrup


Directions

Place the oats, 2 of the bananas, the cinnamon, vanilla, salt, and a splash of milk, in the food processor. Pulse until combined but chunky. Divide into 3 bowls. Place in the dehydrator (or oven, set on warm), for an hour.

After the hour, remove from dehydrator and stir the oatmeal. Add a splash of milk, 3 slices of banana, a third of the walnuts, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a drizzle of maple syrup. (Do not stir before serving.)



Serving Size: Makes 3 hearty servings.
