    1 lb butter, softened well
    3 cups sugar
    4 large eggs

    4 cups all purpose flour
    2 tsp baking soda
    2 tsp cream of tartar
    1 tsp salt


Mix softened butter with sugar till well blended. Add eggs one at a time also till well blended. Put aside. In another container mix all dry ingrediets well. Mix dry with wet a little bit at a time and mix well. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours. Preheat oven to 400║ and roll dough into 1"-11/4" balls. Roll balls in sugar/cinnamon mixture. Place about 2" apart and bake for about 6-7 minutes or till lightly golden brown. Let cool on cookie sheet for 5-7 minutes. Store in covered container.
