Introduction

Without giving up the flavor of beef, this is the best chili I have created. I know the fat could be lower with ground turkey but my family just isn't there yet! Number of Servings: 30

Ingredients

    3 pounds of ground beef cooked and drained well
    3 cans of black beans
    3 cans of diced tomatoes
    2 cans of Bush's chili beans
    1 large sweet onion
    2 cups fresh mushroom
    2 packets of chili powder mix (regular or hot)
    fresh minced garlic to taste
    chili powder to taste
    black pepper to taste

Tips

for thinner "soup-like" chili add a large can of tomato juice and more spices.


Directions

Cook drain and even rinse the ground beef to remove as much fat as possible. Add all ingredients to crock pot. Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours. All ingredients are already cooked so time can vary.
