-
1 ½ cups black beans (1 15-oz can, drained and rinsed)
2 (heaping) tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup oats
¼ tsp salt
1 egg
2 packs sweetener of choice (equivalent to 2 tbsp sugar)
¼ cup applesauce
1 tbsp vanilla extract
½ tsp baking powder
¼ cup chocolate chips
¼ cup chopped walnuts
Tips
Make sure to thoroughly blend the batter - the silkier the better.
Let the brownies cool for at least 10 minutes before trying to cut.
Directions
Step one. Preheat your oven to 350 F.
Step two. Into a food processor goes everything but the chocolate chips and walnuts.
Step 3. Turn that food processor on and blend until you have a silky batter. Fold in chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.
Step 4. Pour the brownie batter into a greased 8x8 pan or your favorite silicone baking mold. Bake until a toothpick inserted comes out clean, about 15 minutes.
