    1/2 c orzo
    3 tbsp. coconut oil
    1 c long grain brown rice
    1 tbsp garlic powder
    1 tbsp onion powder
    4 c chicken broth
    1 tsp dried basil leaves
    1 tsp dried tarragon leaves
    Salt and pepper to taste


Roast orzo in dry pan for 3-5 minutes until slightly golden. Remove from pan and set aside. In same skillet, combine oil, rice, garlic and onion powders. Saute for 2-3 minutes. Add orzo, along with chicken broth. Cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes until rice is cooked. Sir in basil and tarragon and allow to sit and cool for a few minutes.
