I learned this recipe from my good friend's Sicilian mother. You can certainly spice it up if you like, but this is exactly what they make in her hometown. Enjoy! Ingredients

    1 can Diced Tomatoes (just generic brand is fine)
    1 small can Tomato Sauce (just generic brand is fine)
    2 tbsp EVOO
    2-3 tsp sugar (I like mine with 3)
    1 tbsp chopped garlic
    1 tbsp onion (this is optional, but I love onions)

Tips

This sauce is so easy and gloriously rich that my mom no longer buys store-bought spaghetti sauce. One taste and you won't buy store-bought either.


Directions

Put everything in a soup pot and cook on medium-low heat (about 4 out of 10) for 30 mins.
