Introduction

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 1/2 c. milk of choice (I use 1% low-fat)
    1 c. water
    1 1/4 c. old-fashioned, rolled oats
    1 medium asian pear, chopped
    1/2 c. dried tart cherries
    1/4 c. raisins
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Tips

You can refrigerate individual servings and reheat in the microwave for a quick weekday breakfast.


Directions

1. Put water and milk in saucepan and bring to a boil.
2. Stir in oats, and continue to simmer on low heat until the oats begin to get soft (about 3 minutes).
3. Stir in asian pear and raisins. Cover and continue to simmer about 3 minutes more.
4. Add dried cherries and walnuts, cover and let sit for about 1 minute.
5. Serve!
