Ingredients

2 Cups all-purpose flour
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 pkg (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 Cup skim milk
2 Tbsp butter, softened
1 Egg
1/2 Cup cornmeal
3/4 Cup shredded cheddar cheese
Additional cornmeal
Spray butter
Garlic Bread Seasoning
Directions
1) In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. In a 2 quart saucepan, heat milk and butter to 120 degrees. Mix into dry ingredients and beat until moistened. Add the egg. Beat with a wooden spoon or mixer on low for 30 seconds, then beat on high for about 3 minutes.
2) Stir in cornmeal. Stir in cheese. Do NOT knead dough. Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled. About 20 minutes.
) Stir dough down. Grease a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan and sprinkle with a dash of cornmeal. Spoon batter into prepared loaf pan. Cover and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
4) Spray top of uncooked bread with spray butter and sprinkle with Garlic bread seasoning.
5) Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes. 325 degrees for a dark loaf pan.
