Introduction

Ingredients

    1.5 lbs stew meat
    4 cups beef broth
    3 cups water
    2 beef bullion cubes
    1/2 cup barley
    2 red potatoes
    1.5 cups carrots chopped
    1 cup frozen peas
    1 small head green cabbage
    1 med yellow onion
    6 oz can tomato paste
    garlic powder
    salt and pepper to taste


Directions

Season the meat with garlic powder, S&P and brown in dutch oven stir in the tomato paste add carrots, peas, cabbage, onion, and saute 2-3 minutes add the beef broth, water, 2 bullion cubes and potatoes bring to a simmer rinse the barley and add to the pot simmer for approx 30 minutes and turn off the heat cover and let sit another 30 minutes to let the barely continue to soften Serve!
