Introduction

This is a generously sized single serving of a fruit soup my Mom used to make when I was a kid. This is a generously sized single serving of a fruit soup my Mom used to make when I was a kid.
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1 Tbsp Cornstarch (scant)
    1 tsp granulated Sugar
    1 cup 1% Milk

    1 med Pear, diced

    0.25 tsp vanilla, optional

Tips

Although my preference is to eat this fruit soup hot, it can also be enjoyed cold. Cornstarch amount can be adjusted to taste, depending on how thick you want your soup. If preferred, pear can be pureed or shredded instead of diced.

Directions

Stir together sugar and cornstarch in a small saucepan. Slowly whisk in milk. Cook over medium heat until just boiling, stirring constantly. Add pear and continue cooking until the pear is heated through. Remove from heat and add vanilla if desired.
