Introduction

I saw this on AB's Facebook page & wanted to give it a try. He says, "This St. Patrick’s day, serve this side with corned beef or you can do what I do – eat it straight out of the pan and wash it down with more whiskey." Ingredients

    3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 pound green cabbage, cored and shredded
    1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    2 ounces Irish whiskey

Directions

Melt the butter in a 12-inch high-sided sauté pan over medium-high heat. Cook for 2 to 4 minutes or until the butter browns.

Add the cabbage, kosher salt, and the pepper to the pan with the brown butter. Sauté for 7 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and lightly browned. Turn off the heat and deglaze the pan with the whiskey, scraping the brown bits from the bottom of the pan. Serve warm.
