Ingredients
-
Bechamel Sauce:
Milk 1.25 cups
Flour 2 tbsp
Butter, unsalted 2 tbsp
Salt, Pepper, Nutmeg to taste
Rolls:
Lasagna Noodles 9x
Traditional Marinara 24 oz glass
Turkey Marinara Sauce 2 cups
Shredded Cheese 1 cup
Tips
I created my own version with the Inspiration of a spinach lasagna roll up recipe from Food Network.
Original recipe from Giada De Laurentiis from Foodnetwork.
http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/giada-de-laurentiis/lasagna-rolls-recipe.html
Directions
Preheat oven to 450 Degrees
Cook Noodles until almost done
Discard water and spread noodles on flat surface, so they won't stick together.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter, stir in the flower. Constantly whisk (burns easily). Stir in the milk, reheat until thickens. Get off heat and spice with salt pepper and nutmeg.
Spread a large spoon full of the turkey marinara onto each noodle. Sprinkle with a little cheese (keep some for on top later)
Pour the white sauce into a 9X13 oven dish (buttering the dish is optional, worked without for me). Roll up the noodles and place them seam down into the white sauce.
Pour a generous spoonful of traditional marinara on top of each roll, and sprinkle with some more cheese.
Cover with foil tightly and bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until completely hot. Cheese will be melted. If you want a crust, uncover and bake for additional 15 minutes. Otherwise, take out and let stand for 5 minutes.
Reheat the remaining marinara, to serve with each roll.
Serving Size: Makes 9 rolls
Number of Servings: 9
