Introduction

Really comforting when you are sick. Really comforting when you are sick.
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1 c. brown rice
    3 cloves carlic, smashed/minced
    4 c. chicken broth
    4-6 c. water (adjust during cooking)

    Optional: Any other desired seasonings - green onions, ginger, mushrooms, etc.)

Directions

Place all ingredients in slow cooker.
Cook on high for 4-6 hours.
Check during cooking to see whether you want to add more water.

(The usual water:rice ratio is about 8:1, but that is for white rice; it seems to me that the brown rice absorbs more liquid so I added at least 2 cups more water.)

Serving Size: Makes approximately 10 one-cup servings.
