Black tea bags, 10 small or 5 large
    1 cup granulated sugar
    1 gallon water

Adding mint leaves in a strainer will make a mint-flavored tea.

Bring 2 pints of the water to a boil. Pour over tea bags into a container that will hold one liquid gallon. Allow tea bags to steep for 5-10 minutes.

Squeeze liquid from tea bags and discard. Add 1 cup of sugar to tea and stir well until dissolved. Add remainder of water to equal 1 gallon. Refrigerate and serve cold over ice with a slice of lemon.
