Number of Servings: 4


    2 cups Brussels Sprouts
    2 strips thick cut bacon cut up
    1 whole onion halved and then sliced
    garlic to taste
    cracked black pepper
    salt if needed


Cut off the core, and halve the brussels, removing any discolored leaves. Half and then slice the onion. Saute the bacon, removing when done and discard all but 1 tablespoon of the grease. Saute the onions and the sprouts. Season with garlic powder(or fresh garlic chopped fine), pepper and salt if needed. (I dont use the table salt since bacon has salt in it already.) Cover, stirring occasionally till done. (I like mine a bit on the crunch side, but you can cook longer for more tenderness.) Crumble the bacon and mix back into the sprouts and you are done.

Serving Size: makes 4 servings
