Ingredients

    4 chicken thighs skinless
    one raw white onion chopped
    one stalk celery chopped
    chopped mushrooms if desired
    poultry seasoning
    soy sauce
    salt and pepper
    corn starch 3 - 4 tbs

Tips

use this gravy over rice, noodles, mashed potatoes or use as part of a casserole. if soy sauce is added the gravy will be a brown gravy, or without it add a little yellow food color for typical yellow chicken gravy


Directions

skin the thighs and brown them in a little butter or oil, add the chopped celery and onions and mushrooms if desired. cover with water about 3 inches. add seasonings and cook till chicken is tender. remove chicken , remove the bones and add pulled chicken back into the pot. make a slurry of 3-4 tbs of corn starch and water and add to the pot. thicken or thin to desired consistancy.

Serving Size: makes enough gravy for at least 6 servings, or to be used in a casserole
