    Land O Lakes light butter with canola oil, 8 tbsp
    Buttermilk, lowfat, .75 cup
    Granulated Sugar, 1.33 cup
    Baking Soda, 1 tsp
    Molasses, .5 tbsp
    Kirkland Pure Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp
    Sea salt, course, .5 tsp


Great on not just ice cream. Apples taste great dipped in this caramel.


Mix all ingredients except vanilla extract in a large saucepan. Mixture will bubble up a lot. Pan must be 2 to 3 times larger then the mixture.

Heat on medium until boiling. Turn heat down to low.

Cook on low for about 8 - 10 minutes. Foam should calm down and color will darken.

Off the heat add in the vanilla.

Let cool then serve.
