Ingredients

    1.5 cups water
    3 cups white flour
    2 cups whole wheat flour
    2 tsp salt
    2 Tbs olive oil
    2 Tbs oatmeal
    1 Tbs oat bran
    2 Tbs ground flaxseed
    2 Tsp quick acting yeast

    Optional: 2 Tbs of any additions: nuts, dried cranberries or raisins; dried or fresh herbs. These are best added after the first rising or towards the end of the kneading process.

Tips

When using a new recipe in the bread machine it's always a good idea to check how the dough is coming together during the first mixing - go ahead and open the top and feel the dough. It should be soft and bouncy. If it's too dry, add a few drops of liquid; if it's too wet, add some more flour a tablespoon at a time.
