Introduction

Basic recipe for fast home made low salt, low sugar catsup. About 1/2 the calories of regular catsup. Ingredients

    can of tomato paste
    6 tb red wine vinegar or cider vinegar
    3 servings of sweetener such as stevia
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    1/2 tsp lite salt
    1/4 tsp cinnamon
    1/8 tsp ground cloves
    onion or garlic powder if desired

Tips

To make 1000 Isle Dressing- Mix 1 TB catsup to 3 TB Mayonnaise + 1 tsp pickle relish. Makes 2 servings
To make BBQ sauce: Mix 6 TB catsup, 1 TB Molasses, pinch of celery seed and 1/8 tsp allspice.
To make Cocktail Sauce: Mix 8 TB catsup, dash Worcestershire, 1 TB lemon juice and 1 tsp prepared horseradish.


Directions

Mix and allow flavors to mingle at least 1 hr. Keeps in refrigerator for about 1 week.
