    3/4 cup whole wheat flour
    1 cup cornmeal
    1/4 cup teff
    scant 1 cup 2% milk
    1 tablespoon vinegar
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/3 cup sugar
1 small can diced green chiles
    1/2 cup butter
    2 eggs

If you want to use 1 cup buttermilk instead of the scant cup of milk and 1 tablespoon vinegar, you may and also you could use 1 cup of whole wheat flour or regular flour and not add the teff

Put the vinegar in the milk and let sit while the butter is melting on low in a pot on the stove.

In a separate bowl, mix the cornmeal, flour, teff, and salt.

When the butter has melted, add the sugar, eggs, and milk. Then stir in the baking soda and the flour mixture. Stir until just blended.

Pour into greased 8" square pan and bake at 375 for 30 minutes. Cut into 16 pieces.
