    1 MEDIUM HEAD OF CABBAGE, SHREDDED
    4 BONELESS, SKINLESS CHICKEN BREASTS CUBED
    1 LARGE ONION DICED
    1 CUP CELERY SLICED
    10 CUPS WATER
    10 TEASPOON DRY CHICKEN CONSOMME
    2 CUPS HOMEMADE CHICKEN STOCK
    2 TBLS BASIL
    2 TBLS OREGANO
    3 GARLIC CLOVES
    4 TSP HOT PEPPER SAUCE (ADJUST TO TASTE)

Directions

SLICE, DICE, CUBE AND COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS IN CROCKPOT. COOK ON LOW FOR 8-10 HOURS. SERVE WITH FRESH WHOLE GRAIN BREAD.

    I thought this soup was all right. I read the other reviews and figured I'd go ahead and make a huge pot even though I only cook for one. Now I've got more of it than I want. It is palatable; I will eat the rest. But the spice is about the only flavor it has. It needs something else.... - 11/24/09
