Ingredients

    2 Pillsbury Pie Crusts, thawed at room temp
    1/2 cup unsalted butter
    3 T white flour
    1/4 minus 1 T water
    1/2 granulated sugar
    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    1 t vanilla
    1 t cinnamon
    6 Granny Smith apples, peeled and cut

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Melt butter in saucepan. Add water, flour, sugars, vanilla and cinnamon. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
Put apples in a deep bowl and pour 1/2 the sauce mixture over them and mix well.
Place the bottom crust in a deep pie plate. Fill crust with apple mixture. Cover with second crust and seal edges. Slit the top. Place strips of foil over crust edges to keep from burning.
Bake 15 min, then pour remaining cinnamon syrup mixture over top crust and bake 15 minutes more, or until golden brown. Cool before serving.
