Introduction

Aunt Audrey's very delicious soup. Can be used as a base for chili or other soups. Aunt Audrey's very delicious soup. Can be used as a base for chili or other soups.

Ingredients

    1.5 quarts of tomato juice
    4 cups celery
    4 c. chopped onion
    2 c. shredded cabbage
    1 c. chopped bell pepper
    1 big banana pepper sliced
    2 T. Salt
    2 T. sugar
    16 c. chopped tomatoes (Scalded and peeled.)

Directions

Put all ingredients except the chopped tomatoes in a large pot. Cook until the vegetables are very tender. Add the tomatoes to the cooked vegetables and cook until the tomatoes are tender. Fill jars and process.
