Introduction

Ingredients

    *Flour, white, 2 cup
    Olive Oil, 3 tbsp
    Basil, 15 leaves
    Pesto Sauce, 0.25 cup
    Jalapeno Peppers, 2 pepper
    Parmesan Cheese, shredded, 4 tbsp
    Yeast, bakers, 1 ounce
    Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz)
    *Italian Seasoning (SPICE), 3 tbsp
    Sea Salt, 0.25 tsp
    Granulated Sugar, 1.5 tsp

Tips

use a pizza stone if you have one and preheat it in the oven at full temp for a few minutes helps. pull it out and place the dough on the stone. then prepare your pizza bread.


Directions

• start with 1 1/4 cups flour and the other 3/4 divided.
• mix 1 cup of the flour and all dry ingredients together including yeast and Italian seasoning in mixer.
• heat water to warm
• pour the water in with the dry ingredients along with the olive oil and mix.
• slowly add the remaining flour to the mixture.
• should get to a slightly sticky consistency
• if it is too sticky add a little flour.
• if it is too dry all a few tablespoons of water.
• pull from mixer and form into a ball.
• use olive oil to line a bowl and place the dough in there for an hour and allow to rise.
• once the dough as risen pull it out and work it back into a ball
• you can now roll it out to a pizza shape.
• heat the oven to 500 degree F.
• spread the pesto sauce evenly around the rolled out dough.
• dice the jalapenos and sprinkle over the pesto sauce.
• slice the basil leaves into long strips and sprinkle over the jalapenos.
• DO NOT put the cheese on. you will do that for the last few minutes of cooking.
• Sprinkle some corn meal on the pizza stone. This helps create a little air pocket for better heat distribution.
• Put the pizza in the oven for 4-5 minutes.
• After 4 minutes turn the pizza 180 degrees and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
• Pull it out and look under the pizza bread and see if the center is still doughy.
• If it is still doughy rotate the pizza 90 degrees and cook for another 1-2 minutes
• Slide the pizza out and sprinkle the parmesan cheese over the pizza
• Cook for another 2 minutes.
• Pull it out and move the pizza from the stone or sheet to a cutting board
• Use a pizza slicer and cut the pie into 16 slices.
• Enjoy.
