    4 cups of Whole Wheat Flour
    2 Lemons
    2 tbsp Sugar
    4 tsp Baking Powder
    4 tbsp Crisco Shortening
    2 tbsp Butter


Serve with my Fruit and Cream recipe.


Set the oven to 425 degrees. Zest the lemons, then squeeze all the juice out of it. Add enough milk to make 2 cups of milk. Set aside for 15 minutes.
Add the flour, baking powder and sugar together. Mix.
Cut the shortening and butter into the dough and mix. Add the soured milk. Mix. Turn the dough out and knead 5-6 times. DO NOT OVER MIX. Quickly make 12 3 inch biscuits and put on a pan covered with parchment paper. Bake until golden on top. (about 20 minutes)
