    6 cups old fashioned oats
    1 cup sliced almonds
    1 cup raw sunflower seeds
    1/4 cup ground flax seed
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 cup honey
    1/4 cup coconut oil
    2 tsp vanilla


Dried fruit can be added after granola is cooled or it can be eaten with fresh fruit. For crunchier granola, leave it in the oven until cool after the oven is off.


Heat oven to 275 degrees. Mix dry ingredients and place in large baking pan or roaster. Heat honey, oil and vanilla and pour over dry ingredients. Mix well. Bake uncovered for 1 hour 15 minutes, stirring after the first 30 minutes and every 15 minutes after that.

Serving Size: makes 16 1/2-cup servings
