Ingredients

Ground Turkey, 1 pound browned (add any seasoning you choose)
    Onions, 1/2 cup
Red Cabbage, small to medium head
    Brown rice cooked, 4 cups
Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 5 tbsp throughout
    Salt, 2+ tsp

Tips

My friend makes this in the crockpot and if you do so, you can probably leave out the olive oil and cut more calories and fat. You can also cut out the rice and make it low carb.

Directions

Cook 2 cups dry brown rice with 1 tsp salt. Brown the ground turkey in a tbsp of olive oil, adding seasoning of choice, 1 tsp salt and onions. I have used a seasoning mixture for making turkey sausage that adds nice flavor. In a pot or sauté pan, add a little olive oil and toss diced red cabbage. Let it sauté for several minutes. Once the brown rice is done, mix all into a large sauté pan, add additional olive oil and salt as needed. Serve warm.
