    1.5 pounds extra lean ground turkey
    5 oz evaporated milk
    .5 cup rolled oats
    2 large eggs
    .25 cup finely chopped onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp pepper
    1 tsp chili powder (or other seasoning)
    .5 cup dehydrated onion flakes
    4 tsp low sodium bouillon powder
    1 tsp onion powder


Makes about 60 meatballs, 27 calories each. Mix all ingredients together. Line a rimmed cookie sheet with parchment paper. Use a small scoop or spoon, and form meatballs. Bake in a 350F oven for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool a bit. Place in a small covered roasting pan with your favorite sauce, and heat to serving temperature.

This recipe freezes well. Place cooled meatballs in a large freezer bag, squeeze out all the air, and label with date. Freeze for up to 6 months. Reheat in a covered casserole dish with desired sauce, or in a crockpot for 3-4 hours on low.

Note: the last 3 ingredients are a substitute for pre-packaged onion soup mix.
