Introduction
Sounds weird but tastes GREAT! This was created by me on the first day of my coffee detox. I wanted something that had the comforting thickness of coffee and a warm sweetness, which would give me a natural energy boost and keep me going at work.Banana is added for natural sweetness, thickness and energy boost.
Spinach is good for everything; packed with iron and detoxifying, it'll give you a punch of energy without the horrible fall that comes after coffee. It also adds a lovely frothiness to the drink!
Almonds are energizing as well as tasting great and are brilliant for our livers, are packed with protein, vitamins, copper and magnesium.
Using pure cocoa powder in this drink gives it a beautiful rich chocolately flavour (the sweetness of the banana bring this flavour out). The health benefits of coca are also massive, it's an antioxidant and is a natural stimulant.
As always I add flax seed for the digestive benefits, you can omit this if you don't have any!
I use soya milk in this as I try to avoid dairy products, and I also use half milk, half water so it's not too thick, but you can use whatever milk you prefer, and can choose to water down or go all out!
