    -2 Chicken Breasts (about 16oz)
    -1 Cup Frozen Peas, cooked
    -1 Cup Diced Carrots, cooked
    -1/2 Cup Onion, minced
    -2 Cloves Garlic
    -1/3 Cup Butter
    -1/2 Cup Flour
    -3 Cups 2% Milk
    -2 Chicken Bouillon Cubes
    -1 tsp Poultry Seasoning
    -1/4 tsp Pepper
    -Bisquick Biscuit Mix for 6 Biscuits (I use Bisquick Complete Cheese-Garlic Biscuit Mix)

    *Makes 8 servings*


-Preheat oven to 350 degerss
-In a skillet grill chicken with pepper and poultry seasoning
-When cooked, remove from heat, cut up or shred chicken, set aside
-In a large saucepan, melt butter and then slowly add flour, stirring until consistency of paste, but do not brown it like a roux
*NOTE: You may not need all of the flour--stop with it is the right consistency
-Slowly add milk and keep stirring
-Add chicken cubes, garlic, and onion, stir until thickened
-Add peas, carrots, and chicken

-In a glass baking dish add mixture
-Drop 8 spoonfuls of biscuit mix on top
-Bake for 20 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown

*serves 8*

  • I chose your recipe b/c it had relatively low sodium (384.7 mg/svg.) Everything came from my freezer--truly a "from scratch" recipe. I used some of the broth from cooking the chicken for part of the milk. It is so good! Thank you, STEFERS! - 9/23/11
