Introduction

Ingredients

    *Onion (fresh), 1 cup chopped
    Garlic, 3 tsp
    *Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 1 tbsp
    Chickpeas (garbanzo beans), 2 cup or 1 15.5 oz. can
    Lemon, fresh squeezed, juice of one whole lemon, 1 serving (approx 1/2 cup
    *Low sodium Soy Sauce, 1 tbsp
    *Tahini (sesame seed paste), 3 tbsp
    *Sesame Seeds, 0.5 cup

Directions

Cook onion in heated olive oil until soft. Add garlic and sesame seeds and cook for 2-3 minutes more. Take pan off heat. In blender container, put lemon juice, chickpeas, soy sauce, tahini and the cooled mixture. Blend well. Chill.

Serving Size: 1/4 c. (makes approx. 3 cups)
