Juice was thinner then I hoped. Chicken was a little dry. Good enough to make again - but not my favorite. - 2/18/09

  • Good recipe overall... We like saucy food so we doubled the recipe for sauce and we added ginger. it definitely needs the low sodium broth and soy sauce our it is too salty. We also thickened the sauce with corn starch. - 2/20/11

  • My whole family loved this recipe, even my 4yo daughter who is picky about everything! We will definitely make this on a regular basis. Easy on busy Moms who can just toss all the ingredients in the crockpot. - 6/28/10

  • The calorie count for this recipe cannot possibly be correct. The recipe calls for 3 POUNDS of chicken breasts, and serves 8 people. That's approx 6 oz per person. There are approx 30 cals in 1 oz of BSCB.
My figures are more like 250-280 cals per 1/8th of the recipe. - 2/15/10

  • It came out too salty for my taste. Also, the chicken was overdone and dry after cooking in my Rival Crockpot for 4.5 hours on the low setting. - 10/15/09

  • I plan on making this but I was wondernig on the balsamic vinegar is it really 2 TSP or 2 TBSP the ingredients details show 2 TBSP but the ingredients show just 2 TSP. Help would be appreciated on that. - 6/14/09

It's actually 2 tsp. I must have figured the ingredients wrong. So sorry! :(

  • do you dice the chicken breasts? i'm confused - 5/17/08

    Reply from KABORDEAUX (9/30/08)
Sorry for the confusion. You can dice the chicken breasts - it's really up to you. The chicken is so tender, we usually just take a couple of small pieces and put it over rice, along with the asian juices. We stir-fry some veggies to go along with it, and you've got a meal!
