Introduction

Fresh berries and a little sweet white wine make for a great topping for anything from pancakes to Ice Cream to Angel food cake. Fresh berries and a little sweet white wine make for a great topping for anything from pancakes to Ice Cream to Angel food cake.

Ingredients

    1 pint Blueberries
    1 pint Raspberries
    3 tablespoons Splenda Brown Sugar Blend
    1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
    1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon, ground
    1/2 cup Apple Cider
    1/2 cup Sweet White Wine
    1 tablespoon Cornstarch
    3 ounces water

Directions

1. Place all ingredients except cornstarch and water in a large saucepan over medium heat. Cook berry mixture until simmering and the blueberries begin to burst.

2. Mix the cornstarch and water in a small bowl until there are no lumps. Slowly pour mixture into cooking berries, stirring continuously until thickened. remove from heat and serve.
