    1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into thin pieces
    2 Tbsp butter or margarine
    1/4 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp ground ginger
    2 tsp chicken bouillon granules
    2-3 Tbsp cornstarch
    2 cups cold water
    2 cups carrots, sliced on an angle
    2-3 cups fresh broccoli, cut in bite sized pieces


In a large pan, melt butter and begin cooking chicken. Add the garlic powder and ginger. When just about cooked, add chopped carrots. While they are cooking, in a bowl mix the soy sauce, bouillon, cornstarch and cold water with a wire wisk. Slowly pour this mixture into the pan. It will begin to thicken to a gravy as it cooks. When just thickened, turn the stove off, add the cut broccoli to the pan and cover with a lid for 3-5 minutes. Serve over fresh steamed jasmine rice.
