Ingredients

    6 oz all purpose flour
    2 oz shortening chilled
    1 oz unsalted butter
    2 tsp baking soda
    1/8 tsp baking power
    1/2 kosher salt
    1/2 cup low fat buttermilk

    whisk dry ingredients,using fingers add shortening and butter until crumbles form. Make a well, pour in buttermilk, mix until ball starts to form then knead until all flour is incorporated then knead for 30 seconds. Press out into a 1" thick round and cut biscuits. Re-roll scraps to use all dough

Directions

400 degree oven for 15 minutes

Serving Size: makes 6 biscuits
