Introduction

A friend of mine bemoaned the fact that McDonald's has already brought back their Shamrock Shake. I went searching for what I could do to make that treat healthier. I think I've done it! 23g of protein, less than 8g of sugar, and a dose of spinach (I promise you can't taste it). Ingredients

1 -5.3oz Dannon Light & Fit Greek Vanilla Yogurt
    1/2 cup Ricotta cheese, fat-free
1 package Jell-O Brand, Sugar Free, Fat Free Pudding Mix, Pistachio
2 scoops Vanilla Whey Protein Isolate
    1 cup Skim Milk
1/2 cup Fat free half and half
    1 cup Spinach, fresh
    1/8 tsp peppermint extract
    Ice

Tips

I made this in two steps but you could throw it all in the blender and just let it go but I wanted to make sure I got a good smooth consistency.

Directions

1. In a blender place all the ingredients except for the ice. blend until smooth and you can't see any evidence of the spinach leaves.

2.Using a Magic Bullet or other single serve blender place 5-10 ice cubes in the cup. Pour the Milkshake base over the ice and screw the blade lid on tight. Blend each serving until the blender gets a bit quieter.

3. If you like add a dollop of light cool-whip or whipped cream and Enjoy!
