    1 cup sugar
    1/4 cup water
    1 orange halved and sliced
    pecan halves to scatter on top

Heat butter, sugar and water until syrupy
Pour syrup over potatoes
Bake uncovered at 375 degrees until syrup candies, basting 2-3 times.
