Introduction

This is my favorite homemade salad dressing. It has fat, but the fats are healthy fats and a little goes a long way. This is my favorite homemade salad dressing. It has fat, but the fats are healthy fats and a little goes a long way.

Ingredients

    3 cloves garlic, pressed
1 Tbsp finely chopped basil or cilantro
    1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
    1/4 cup Flaxseed Oil

Directions

Place the garlic and herbs in a waterproof 1 cup storage container. Add vinegar and oils, place the lid on, and shake contents until thoroughly combined. A serving is 1 Tbsp

I put the salad greens in a large ziplock bag, add the dressing, and then shake vigorously until all the greens are equally coated. It's the best way to get the dressing flavor on all the leaves without overdoing it.

I also use individually frozen cubes of garlic and herbs I buy at Trader Joe's or other select food stores. The cubes make this the easiest recipe in the world. If you use cubes, just use 3 cubes each of garlic and the herb.
