Ingredients

4 cup Brussels sprouts, fresh
1 pear, medium (approx 2-1/2 per Pears, fresh
1 pepper Jalapeno Peppers
2 tbsp Smart Balance Light Buttery Spread with Flax Oil
2 tsp Mustard, Dijon, Organic (HEB)
Directions
Halve and clean the Brussels sprouts. Next cook the Brussels sprouts in boiling water for 7-10 minutes, do not overcook.
Note: They can also be cooked in the microwave on the high setting with some water for four minutes.
While the Brussels sprouts are cooking the sauce can be started.
Melt the butter in a sauce pan and add in the jalapeno pepper. Cook the pepper in the butter for 5 minutes, keep the heat medium to low, do not allow the butter to burn.
Add in the mustard and stir.
Add in the pear and heat thru.
Drain the cooked Brussels sprouts. Add them to the pan, mix gently to coat and serve.
Serving Size: Makes 4 servings
