Crispy oven baked chicken that tastes like fried! Crispy oven baked chicken that tastes like fried!
Number of Servings: 6


    1-1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
    1 cup rice krispies cereal, finely crushed
    1/2 cup wheat germ
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp paprika
    1 tsp dried oregano
    1 tsp dried basil
    1 tsp onion powder
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1/2 tsp Mrs. Dash lemon pepper
    1 extra large whole egg plus 2 egg whites
    1 lime


Cut chicken breasts into serving 6 pieces. Wash with juice from freshly squeezed lime. Set aside. In medium bowl, combine salt and seasonings. Blend in crushed rice crispies and wheat germ. In separate bowl, mix togetherwell the whole egg, egg whites and 2 TBS water. Dip chicken pieces one at a time in egg wash then in cruspie mixture, coating well. Put all chicken on a rack set on a cookie sheet or baking pan. Bake at 350F for 1 hour or until internal temperature reads 170F. Serves 6.
