Introduction

Low-calorie. Low-calorie.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 can S&W Pinto Beans
1 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
30 gram(s) Bread Crumbs, Panko (Japanese style), Kikkoman-1/2 cup, 30g
4 oz Mild Cheddar - Safeway (by FINZUPNAZ)
    1 tbsp Chili powder
    1 tsp Garlic powder
    1 dash Salt
    1 dash Pepper, black

Tips

Pair with sandwich thins or eat alone. Maybe do mayo instead of cheddar.

Directions

Mash up the beans as much as you can -- the more whole they are, the harder it will be to get them to stick together. Once mashed, add the rest of the ingredients and season to your liking. Separate into 4 portions and form into patties. Use a nonstick skillet or SMALL amount of cooking spray to cook patties over medium heat until browned on each side and firm to the touch. Top with 1 ounce of mild cheddar after cooked.

    O.K.
I really wanted to like this recipe. Thought it was ok but hubby did not like. He complained about the chili powder in it and would only eat half of a Pattie. Had to promise him I would just make plain ole bean patties. If you like chili powder and garlic give it a try. - 3/28/21
