Ingredients

    1 tbsp Shortening, Crisco
    1/3 cup Shortening, Crisco
    1 cup Flour, white
    1/2 tsp Salt
    3 Tbsp. Water, tap

    3 Granny smith apple
    3 Apple, Fuji
    1/3 cup Granulated Sugar
    3/4 tsp Cinnamon, ground
    1/2 tsp Nutmeg, ground
    1 Tbsp. flour

    1/2 cup Flour, white
    1/2 cup, packed Brown Sugar
    3 Tbsp. Land O Lakes, Unsalted Butter

Tips

You can use Gala, Macintosh, or any combo of apples for the pie.


Directions

Prepare pie crust with shortening, one cup of flour, 1/2 tsp salt, and 3 Tbsp of water. Peel, core, and slice apples thinly. Combine in a separate bowl the white sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and one Tbsp of flour. Fold in apple slices and pile into prepared crust. Mix brown sugar, butter and 1/2 cup flour until crumbles form. Sprinkle over apples. Cover loosely with foil. Bake pie at 375 degrees oven for 25 minutes. Uncover from foil and continue baking for an additional 25 to 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

Serving Size: Makes 8 slices
