Introduction

Ingredients

    1 lb dry red beans
    2 onions, chopped
    2 tsp minced garlic
    1 tbs ground cumin
    2 tsp salt
    1 can (14 oz) chicken broth
    2 cups water
    1 cup instant rice

Directions

Soak beans overnight in enough water to cover. Drain.

Combine all ingredients except rice in slow cooker.

Cook in slow cooker on Low for 4 to 6 hours.

Stir in rice, cover and cook another 20 minutes.
