Ingredients

    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 lb ground beef
    1 can condensed tomato soup
    2 tbsp ketchup
    1 can sweet corn (with peppers, if desired)
    salt and pepper
    1-1/3 cup instant mashed potatoes
    2/3 cup milk
    2 tbs butter
    1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    1 egg, beaten

Directions

Brown ground beef and onion in skillet. Add drained corn, soup, and ketchup. Add salt and pepper to taste. Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Prepare instant potatoes as directed on package. Whisk beaten egg into potatoes. Spoon in mounds over meat around the edges of pan. Sprinkle cheese over potatoes. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
