    1 cup cherries, pitted
    3 packets sugar substitute
    1/2 cup water
    1 1/2 TBS corn starch


Add all ingredients except the corn starch to a sauce pan. Bring to boil, then reduce heat and cover. Continue cooking until cherries are tender. Mash cherries. Disolve cornstarch in a small amount of water and add to sauce pan. Continue cooking, stiring frequently, until mixture begins to thicken. Remove from heat and let cool. It will continue to thicken as it cools.
Use as a topping for pancakes, waffles, French toast, or ice cream; use as a spread on toast, bagels, or muffins; use as a glaze for baked chicken or pork; use as a filling for kolache..
Makes about 1 cup or 8 servings of 2 TBS each.
