    2 1/2c. crisp rice cereal
    2c. uncooked quick-cooking oats
    1/2c. raisins
    1/2c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2c. light corn syrup
    1/2c. peanut butter
    1tsp. vanilla extract
    1/2c. milk chocolate chips


Combine the first 3 ingredients in a large bowl; set aside.

Bring brown sugar and corn syrup to a boil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring constantly; remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla until blended.

Pour peanut butter mixture over cereal mixture, stirring until coated; let stand 10 minutes. Stir in chocolate chips. Press mixture into a 13-by-9-inch pan; cool in pan on a wire rack. Cut into bars.

  • These taste great! Not sure how you get 4.5 dozen out of them though, they must be cut really tiny for that. I cut them 1/2 the size of a store bought granola bar. - 7/2/10
